Double London today, in and Out twice, this afternoon for a promo/press shoot with Brendan Campbell, Singer/songwriter from Scotland, fresh off the train from Glasgow.
Had the pleasure of shooting the new
Does It Offend You, Yeah? Music video today in Liverpool street, London. Had a wicked time, and really enjoyed it, even tho it was listening to the same track for 5 hours! Here is a before and after:
Tonight I was shooting as Keane's Official Photographer at Union Chapel in London, the last in a chain of sessions hosted my Jo Wiley called the Little Noise Sessions. Very cool venue, great sound, Great setting for photos!
Having had my first day of in weeks, I was playing about in Photoshop, something I've also not done for a bit. Made this. Great fun! Its Sydney Harbor.
I'm just about out of all my energy, after the tour, straight up to Nottingham to cover The Ghost Frequency for NME. Very good gig, funny setup in terms of stage. Cheers to Alex and co for a wicked time & to greg for the lift home.
Just back from the Tour, and very tired ready for my own bed but not just yet. Heading up to Nottingham tonight for NME to shoot so my own bed will have to wait just one more night. Here are a few shots from the Man From Michael tour. 1] in Brighton..classic cheese band shot. 2] Me with the boys and 3] The venue for the last night of the tour, a boat in the Mersey river, central Liverpool..very cool..by cool, i mean freezing and great fun!
On tour at the moment, just down in Southampton this evening and back in London by the weekend. Here are a few shots used on NME.com this week and in the Mag (Bloc Party cover).
On tour at the moment with 'Man From Michael', a band from Liverpool. All around the UK over this and next week. They are doing a tour blog, so i'll get the link up here, that or search them on Facebook/myspace.
Off to the 02 tonight for 50 Cent, or as my friend Matt calls him.. 20p ! (after the currency conversion). 02 Was massive as you can see by the shot. Old 20p also used a lot of explosions! all of which made me jump, but I was aloud to as they were just meters from where I was stood.
Down to Astoria tonight for Dizzee Rascal. Seen him at festivals before and he's been wicked. Real Hi energy stuff. Tonight was no different, the crowd really getting in to it. its not my bag, but he's definitely got something.
Yesterday was a busy one, spent most of the time at the studio. In the spot light today was Eskimo Disco, an Electro-Indie band from London. Had a great day, and thanks to the lads for being such a laugh. Here are a few shots from the session.
Back to Brighton for the 4th or 5th time in a month! This time for NME, and Emmy the Great. She was very good, with a very Dylon esk feel about her songs. Another late night, beginning to think I'm turning into a badger! Good shoot coming up tomorrow, stay tuned for pics.
Finally got to read NME this week on the train to Liverpool and found this shot of mine in there. Photo of Bat for Lashes from Latitude back in the Summer.
Crazy busy day today. Firstly headed up to Liverpool for a meeting about some exciting things happening in the next few weeks, then shot back to London for a double gig for NME : Ipso Facto and Effi Briest playing at The End ( Durrr club night). This ran into the early hours, and i'm here editing at 4am...Glam!
Brighton's becoming like a second home, both Harriet and I really enjoy it down there. There is something very relax about the sea and seeing a sunset, something you miss behind a skyline of buildings in London. Well done to Ben, Ali and Rob for their Tour and EP efforts..Great job lads.
After David Grey, I rushed to Brixton for the climax of the War Child Concert. Pet shop Boys, Lilly Allen and Keane all preforming. Tom Chaplin from Keane running about like a mad man! Good show tho.
Today was a very long day, 19 working hours in total, but all good fun. After Girls aloud it was on to Alex Curran launching some perfume then to Virgin Radio for David Grey preforming to a hand full of people, track from him best off album just out. Really nice guy!
