Artist Bio :
Tim Timothy is a UK based multi-instrumentalist and composer whose music fuses ambient, cinematic, and neo-classical elements. Influenced by artists like Ólafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm, and Max Richter, his piano-driven compositions create evocative, atmospheric soundscapes. With a background in multiple instruments and genres since the age of 15, Tim’s work is a deeply personal exploration of emotion and storytelling.
February 2026, Tim Timothy releases Helix, his third record and most structurally ambitious work to date. Comprising 15 new tracks, the album expands his Neo-classical ambient language into a tightly unified conceptual statement built around the architecture of the double helix.
Rooted in the mechanics of DNA, Helix explores time as structure. The helix stores past states while enabling future variation. Repair is continuous and imperfect. Loss is encoded, not always expressed or seen. The helix becomes a silent archive. These principles form the conceptual spine of the record, shaping both its narrative arc and its sonic design.
Debut album Komorebi features 10 tracks of filmic Neo-classical soundtrack works - driving, evolving and progressive.
His debut EP, As Deep as it is Still, is a self-produced collection that delves into themes of loss, grief, and beauty. Each track takes its name from a word without an English equivalent, capturing untranslatable feelings of love, journey, and mourning. A key track, "Song for Pip," is particularly personal and emotionally intense to perform. This release marks the beginning of a broader musical journey, with more music on the horizon and immersive, intimate live performances in the works.
